Until recently, this blog has been running on a Ruby on Rails blog engine called Mephisto, on one of a dozen or so virtual servers on a dedicated server at Rails Machine.
I've now rebuilt this blog using Webvanta, the hosted web content management system that my company produces. Webvanta can do much more than blogs, but it is a great blog system as well.
Setting up Mephisto was my very first Ruby on Rails adventure, when I was on my way out of Adobe back in the fall of 2006. I was one of the early customers at Rails Machine, which is a great Ruby on Rails host. I once ran two dedicated servers there, and then one, and soon none. They've been very reliable, and their support is excellent, but I've been able to move almost all of my sites on to Webvanta and can no longer justify the cost of the servers.
At the same time, I've redesigned the blog. If you come across a broken link or a missing image, please let me know.
Note about the RSS feed: If you're subscribed to the blog's RSS feed, I suspect you're going to see a new version of all the old articles showing up in the feed. This should be a one-time occurrence.
